who would’ve thunk it.

Today I came home and was greeted with a bottle of champagne and three lovely friends. It was the sweetest thing.

Most of you probably weren’t expecting this but today I talked to Howard about leaving for good at the end of the month. Things just weren’t working out as far as my expectations go or what I wanted to take from the internship so I’m calling it quits. I won’t go into any details about the situation though (at least not here). I will say that I don’t have any regrets and definitely learned a lot from being there. It’s just that I think I’m ready to move on.

I feel really good. Actually, I was shaking when I was talking to him but after it was said and done I felt really good. It’s actually not really all said and done as they said this is a “to be continued” discussion but I have made up my mind. I’m really excited to finally be able to get the most out of my time here in nyc and look forward to trying to work with other photographers and learn, learn, learn.

I have two soirĂ©es to go to this week and it couldn’t be better timing. One is about photography and book design (which I would looove to get into) and the other is “the biggest photo industry party of the year.” Let’s just hope my social retardedness doesn’t kick in and take over.

We’re going to a roof top party tonight to celebrate cinco de mayo. Sounds all too poetic to me.
