At the check-out counter in CVS I was helped by a woman who spoke with the best southern drawl in the world. And upon leaving, was following a truck with a giant decal sticker that read “Bubba’s Home Improvements.”

Southern drawls and guys named Bubba in New York City are few and far between.

It’s good to be home. (although “home” is a bit up in the air as far as location goes because I technically have three places I call “home.”) I’m in Roanoke for a week and then it’s off to Holden Beach with Jeff and his family!

While digging through my laptop to try to free up some space I came across some fun photos of us. Jeff and I are very much alike and have agreed that we are the male/female versions of each other as far as personality and interests go. But we also tend to do things like say what the other is thinking, show up with the same solid colored t-shirt on (this actually happens a lot) and share the same odd preference of sleeping in a sleeping bag on our beds when we were younger, among many other things. When we’re older we’re gonna be that couple that color coordinates our outfits or wears matching ones. We kind of do that already though.

The last two photos were taken by our good friend Joshua Longbrake and the last photo is by far one of my favorites of us. Josh will be officiating our wedding next year =)
