I’ve found another (professional) photographer to teach me.
Worked on a shoot today in Tarrytown, NY for Madison Square Garden’s HD network where the photographer shot portraits of various New York Rangers Ice Hockey players in super intense lighting, moods and poses. The photos will be used as advertising for the network on billboards, in magazines and on the sides of double-decker buses. I was the “stylist” on the shoot today (in addition to newbie photo assistant) and had the job of spraying down/giving the players sweat beads.
Test shots by Monte Isom:
An iPhone camera shot by Shannon Roddy who was digital tech on the job. This is me getting paid to spray water in people’s faces (among other things):
And a photo from my phone:

You gots ta git paid!
hey, i’ve been reading your blog for awhile now. found you through josh longbrake’s blog. thought i’d leave a comment today. those test shots are awesome and getting paid to spray water on people is even more awesome!
Jeff: it’s true.
Stephanie: thanks for reading =) I’ve always wondered who has come across my random thoughts being that its the world wide web…and now I have your blog to read up on! I love connecting/meeting new people even if its in the virtual sense but I’ve only made it as far as reading “about you” and from that, you seem pretty awesome. Cheers!
