So here it is. I live on the top floor of this building—the top window with the fire escape attached to it is my bedroom window. Loving the natural light that floods through this apartment…a very drastic change from my hallway-type bedroom with no windows and doors on both ends with no locks that I was living in for the past 10 months. No more! I also have roof access but don’t feel like climbing up there right now to show you the view. The restaurant on the corner of the building is Five Leaves and was getting a lot of attention as Heath Ledger was (and still is, in a sense) one of the investors. People have been saying that the food is absolutely horrible or delicious but that the coffee is definitely good. I’m just gonna wait and see for myself at some point before I leave.
My roommate is a graphic artist (and i say artist because he does a lot of hands on art work aside from computer designs) hence the styrofoam clouds in the windows, hanging pictures and doodles with notes on chalkboards. Even the bathroom mirror has doodles on it. The apartment has a very organic feel and the location is prime as McCarren Park is literally right across the street as is a subway station and there’s a Dunkin Donuts on the other corner of my block that’s no more than 30 seconds away. And that’s if you saunter.
So far, so good =)

I love it!
That’s a nice sweet pad you got there Huong! I love the pictures, as always.
