Welcome to the new Untitled blog. And yes, the title is “Untitled.” Since I am no longer writing from brooklyn, with love, I guess it wasn’t fair for me to keep going with that. It’s a bittersweet change. Special thanks to Jeff though for letting me play art director and putting up with my asking him to do all of the behind the scenes code work until I was satisfied. New look for the official website to hopefully come together as soon as I can figure out what font I want to go with. Oh, and all of that other code work that either Jeff or Pat will be helping me with (pretty please?). I always joke how the three of us should start our own agency/firm/whatever. But I think we all like each other too much to do that.
I’m currently listening to William Fitzsimmon’s The Sparrow and the Crow album and am in love. Thank you, Josh for sharing that with me. Other music that I’ve been loving…two singles…1.) Bonafied Lovin’ by Chromeo and 2.) Everyone Nose (All The Girls Standing In The Line For The Bathroom) by N.E.R.D.. I’m all over the place today. Book that I recently finished reading: The Road by Cormac McCarthy. What a great name. I generally read good-humored essays or uplifting non-fiction, and let me tell you, this was none of the above. If his name sounds familiar, he was also the author of No Country For Old Men. I do believe “they” are making a major motion picture of The Road as well so I’m excited to see it and compare to the book. And then I’ll be smug and murmur about how much better the book was. There was absolutely nothing that I underlined or can quote from the book (I like to underline and make notes in margins when I read) but that was mostly because it was about a father and son in a post-apocalyptic world. Definitely a great book though.
I just tried turning down the volume of my music (which is coming from my laptop connected to speakers) with the tv remote. I think that’s my cue to step away from the computer and rid my mind of electronic waves for a bit.
Happy wednesday, everyone! From Roanoke, with love.
