On Saturday we had a picnic in the park and flew kites at the Salem Kite Festival. It was really nice…would’ve been better if we were able to find some shade but what’s a kite festival with a bunch of trees in the way? (A very upsetting kite festival). We lasted a good two hours so next year I say we bring a beach umbrella and/or tent. I think it was a bit too hot for the kids and their cheeks were as rosey as roses, but as you can see, Desmond still smiled through the irritableness of the hot sun. Dez is our friend Chris and Lisa’s offspring and he’s 1.5 years old. He is quite possibly the cutest child I have ever known…so incredibly sweet and quiet and always smiling. They also have a daughter named Lily and she’s a little cutie patootie too. She says Jeff is her best friend.
