I’ve sent out emails trying to get people to test with me as I’m working on beefing up the portrait section of my new website. As it turns out, I don’t know too many people around here so if you’re reading this and live anywhere near the Roanoke Valley and are up for a fun photo session, let’s talk. And if you don’t live anywhere near the Roanoke Valley and would like to fly me out to where you are for a fun photo session, let’s talk even more.
A lot of my favorite photographers are self-portrait artists which I think is weird but great at the same time. It’s easier to shoot yourself because you know exactly what you’re looking for in a photo. The only thing about it is when you’re doing self-portraits anywhere other than your home people will think you’re really weird. Or narcissistic. Which I’m not. I’m just bored and needed some new images to play with. I miss my group of girlfriends (I prefer to photograph women) and none of them live remotely near me. So come visit, dear friends! And let us enjoy a photographic feast!

Heidi from iloveyoucards.org started to spread some love with…well, love. I received a free stack of 20 cards many many moons ago, (that’s what I’m holding in the first photo) however, I never gave any away or brightened anyone’s day with one. Today I stuck them in my lady bag and plan on getting rid of them. I’ve recently revisited the site and noticed that she’s now asking for a small donation of $5 per every order of 20 cards which in my opinion is a small price to pay to brighten up 20 different people’s days. You can even custom order them in a foreign language! They’re very pretty, high quality and eye-catchingly-pink. Visit the website to see and read experiences.
*** UPDATE ***
I cut one of the I Love You cards to fit in the name slot thingie that’s on the front of my apartment door. That way everyone who stops by is greeted with a happy warm feeling before I even answer it. Even if they don’t, I think the hot pink is lovely against the navy blue door.

I might take you up on this some day soon!
I think you should :)
Who’s a pretty girl?
Hey, let’s make some pictures!
lovely! you are beautiful…i love the last shot, such a clever idea :)
Hi. You don’t know me. I don’t know you. Except for reading your blog. Yea, didn’t think that counts. But i’m in the area and would love to meet up if you’re up for it. And no, i’m not a weirdo. Well, unless of course eating mustard on everything possible is weird. Ok – i’m weird. Still up for it?
Kristin: I like mustard too and am totally up for meeting up! Will send you an email.
