The Longest Way 1.0 – one year walk/beard grow time lapse from Christoph Rehage on Vimeo.

Jeff and I agree that this is probably one of the best time lapse videos we’ve ever seen. It’s of Christoph Rehage who spent a year on foot (4646 km) through China and it documents his beard. Sounds silly but definitely check it out if you have 5 minutes and 18 seconds to spare as I promise it will remind you of the beauty of people and travel. And beards.

For a guy “on foot” he sure seemed to be on a lot of planes. That song is so happy!

Yeah, there’s actually additional info on the vimeo page if you click on the link below the video…I just didn’t post it all on here. In regards to your comment: “I never finished my original goal of walking to Germany. Instead, I walked for a year and roughly 4500km, passed the desert of Gobi, and then decided to stop walking for now.

    - All of the distance from Beijing to Ürümqi has been completed solely on foot, straight good old walking. There are instances where you can see me in the video sitting on a plane or riding a boat, but those are during breaks I had to take from walking, either to sort out bureaucracy issues or to take care of some personal things…”
