I meant to post this yesterday but Chase Jarvis announced the best way he knows how, via live video streaming on his blog with 1500 tuning in, that he and his buddy have started what is essentially an online school called CreativeLIVE. The site offers creative courses for FREE and the only catch is that you have to be able to tune in when the live video cast is going on…they make their money from downloads of the courses from those who can’t watch it live or want to study the material covered even more and be able to pause and rewind. A lot of it is based around photography (and those classes will be taught by really well-known and respected photographers) but there will also be several classes on fine art such as painting, and programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc. I think it’s a great idea, especially for amateurs or those who are self-taught.
