My photo of him and his photo of me.
There’s a nice little feature about me over at RobotActivate.com and I must say that I am flattered by Glauco’s kind words. Be sure to check out his awesome design portfolio and the rest of the blog for features on other talented artists of the creative world!

Sometimes the most beautiful moments happen during the everyday tasks in everyday places. For instance, this was when I was taking laundry out of the dryer, turned around, saw Jeff in the dark hallway, told him not to move and ran for my camera. Then we switched places.
I kinda love these portraits of him.
The Longest Way 1.0 – one year walk/beard grow time lapse from Christoph Rehage on Vimeo.
Jeff and I agree that this is probably one of the best time lapse videos we’ve ever seen. It’s of Christoph Rehage who spent a year on foot (4646 km) through China and it documents his beard. Sounds silly but definitely check it out if you have 5 minutes and 18 seconds to spare as I promise it will remind you of the beauty of people and travel. And beards.
Okay. So I just sent the invitations out yesterday. But word has it that one person has received one which must mean that several others who are in town must’ve received one and even though out of town guests haven’t received one yet, I am too antsy to wait to post these photos. I don’t know what it is about these…the stationary, the textured paper, the fact that these are our wedding invitations, the excuse to buy new pens, pretty stamps, the primitive act of snail mail or the beautiful natural light in the beautiful homey dining room…these images make me happy.
We designed them ourselves and John Reburn who owns and operates Roanoke Valley Print Works printed them with his letterpress. In my humble opinion, they look pretty freaking awesome. Egglpant ink on off-white paper. I’ll have to take some good color photos when I get the chance.
Special thanks to my lovely friend, Alison, who has the nicest penmanship of anyone I know. She addressed all of our invitations for us.
